I’m Lori, the lady behind Doulas of NSB and founder of Om Baby & Wellness . I am a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) and Postpartum Nurse as well as an ODIS Postpartum Doula Instructor, and IBCLC. I am a member of the ICEA and nurse writer for AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses). The part of being a nurse that I love most is the work of a doula. That is why  over two years ago I decided to leave bedside nursing behind and follow my heart. My passion is supporting parents-to-be on their journey to meet their baby and in the early days after.
In my spare time, I love to travel with my Swede and cherish every moment with family and friends. I am ballet, flamenco, and food obsessed 💗  Why Sweden to NSB?  While Sweden is now home, NSB is my first home-where my heart, family, and childhood memories are.

Mother, wife, and Postpartum Doula, I have been caring for children for 33 years and have raised one beautiful 15 year old daughter. I volunteered for six years in our local elementary school running the Parent Teacher Organization and providing a place for parents to discuss the trials of child raising. After hearing so many parents talk about all the things they wish they had known I became a Postpartum Doula to share the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years with new families. I specialize in postpartum support for mothers giving their children up for adoption and adopting parents.

I am a DONA trained Birth Doula and mom to a two-year-old.  Before becoming a birth Doula I worked in childcare for over five years as a preschool teacher. I offer birth and postpartum care to parents looking for a personalized birthing experience. My goal is to help you achieve the birth and fourth trimester you desire. I am here to give you the support and knowledge you need so you can make the best-informed decision for your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experience.
